S-26 leads an emerging challenger market
ASEAN infant formula is an emerging challenger market. S-26 holds 16.5% AI recommendation share — a 4.0pp lead over Similac (12.5%), followed by Enfamil (10.8%), Friso (8.6%) and Nan (5.7%). The top three brands hold 40% and the top five hold 54%. Leadership stability is medium and challenger pressure is high — the contest is still in play.
At a manufacturer level, Nestlé leads at 29.2%, ahead of Reckitt (24.3%), Danone (15.6%), Abbott (13.8%) and FrieslandCampina (10.5%).
Each brand has a distinct platform signature
Platform variance is the defining feature of the category. S-26 wins on Claude, Gemini and Deepseek; Similac and Enfamil dominate Grok; ChatGPT splits between Similac and Nan. A brand strong on one platform can be near-absent on another.
S-26 leads on every lens that matters
Read four ways — share, recommendation power per observation, average rank depth, and visibility-to-preference conversion — S-26 wins all four. It leads share (16.5%), recommendation power (27.5 avg score), trust/authority (2.00 avg rank) and conversion (60% win rate). Enfamil, with a 36% win rate at 10.8% share, is the only credible challenger.
Three priorities for the next quarter
- Monitor narrow leadership gaps — the 4.0pp lead is thin; track weekly
- Validate challenger momentum — Enfamil's 36% win rate signals potential shifts
- Separate signal from noise — hold conclusions to a 3+ observation minimum base
